Job Description

We're the team behind the UK's telecom networks-building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected! From fibre installs to 5G rollouts, we make it happen with innovation, speed, and a smile. If you love a challenge and want to be part of something big, Comex 2000 is the place to be.

We are looking for a proactive HR Advisor to join our team and act as a trusted partner to our managers and employees.

As our HR Advisor, you will be the "go to" for practical HR guidance. You will blend core operational support with strategic change management, ensuring we remain compliant, efficient, and deeply connected to our company culture.

The role includes occasional ad hoc travel across the Midlands and the North.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations & Support: Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, coaching managers through performance management, absence, and conflict resolution with a steady, professional hand.
  • Talent & Development: Partner with hiring managers to find great talent and identify internal training needs to help our people grow.
  • Change Management: Support the HRBP change management.
  • Operational Excellence: From maintaining flawless employee records in our HRIS to assisting with payroll and compensation reviews, you'll ensure the "engine room" of HR runs smoothly.
Who You Are
  • A Relationship Builder: You can influence decision making at all levels while maintaining absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Tech Savvy: You're comfortable with HRIS and Microsoft Office, and you're genuinely curious about how AI can improve the employee experience.
  • Resilient & Adaptable: You thrive in fast paced environments where priorities can shift, and you approach ambiguity with critical thinking and a "can do" attitude.
  • Data Informed: You enjoy gathering and interpreting HR metrics (like turnover and engagement) to tell a story and suggest improvements.
Requirements Your Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: Level 5 Certificate in HR Management is essential. A Bachelor's degree in HR or Business is a plus.
  • Professional Status: Associate Member of the CIPD.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience in an HR Advisory or Generalist role, specifically coaching managers and navigating employment law.
  • Compliance Guru: A solid understanding of current employment law and HR best practices.
