Salary: Up to £32,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Contract type: 1 x 12 month Fixed Term Contract / Attachment

Location: Office Base is flexible with regular weekly travel to the Birmingham office. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

Please note: this role is Welsh language essential.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a HR Advisor at the BBC you'll play a vital role in providing essential information, guidance and support on the full range of HR topics. The role supports colleagues and managers from across the UK and offers an excellent opportunity for growth, providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment that offers the scope exploring many different HR scenarios across the BBC.

Be part of our forward-thinking People Services team, delivering exceptional query resolution and support to employees and managers. This role ensures smooth service delivery by adhering to established processes and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
  • To deliver accurate and timely advice over the phone and via our HR case management system to managers and employee's in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
  • To problem solve queries and issues, offering resolution and/or escalating queries to the relevant team/ 3rd party within People Services or relevant Specialist Team
  • To understand and gain insight into customer concerns and problems by questioning, exploring issues and reviewing data
  • To provide answers with self-assurance based on data and understanding of policy and process
  • To work, where required, to provide assistance to projects
  • To contribute to a culture of service excellence and support continuous improvement

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Welsh speaker
  • Experience of delivering advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR related queries
  • Experience use of People systems/Case management systems for entering data into relevant systems and ensuring data quality (such as SAP)
  • Knowledge of HR Policy and processes across a broad range of HR topics
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensures facts are correct, complete and consistent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; Assured in dealing with the full range of business users, via multiple communication channels
  • Self-assured in the use of data and data problem solving skills
  • Understands how to handle, resolve and escalate enquiries; passes on information promptly
  • Understands how to work effectively in a team to deliver
  • A flexible, willing and pragmatic approach to providing assistance within the wider operational environment
