Housekeeping Team Member Location: Hopetown Darlington, DL3 6ST Job Purpose

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Housekeeping Team Members to join the team at Hopetown Darlington, an exciting visitor attraction celebrating Darlington's railway heritage.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the venue is clean, safe, well maintained and welcoming for all visitors. This is a front-facing role, and you may occasionally be required to assist visitors and provide a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas and facilities to a high standard.
• Ensure the venue remains clean, tidy, safe and presentable for visitors.
• Carry out general housekeeping and cleaning duties as required.
• Follow cleaning procedures, instructions and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
• Respond flexibly to changing duties and operational requirements.
• Assist visitors when required and provide a welcoming and helpful service.
• Work effectively as part of the wider Hopetown Darlington team.
• Take pride in maintaining a positive environment for visitors and colleagues.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or a similar environment.
• The ability to clean to a consistently high standard.
• A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach to work.
• The ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Good attention to detail.
• Flexibility regarding working hours and duties.
• Confidence when working independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A willingness to assist members of the public when required.
