Housekeeping Assistant

At Avery Healthcare we support the people who care for our residents, celebrating their hard work and fostering a culture of respect, compassion and commitment to exceptional care. We are looking for a warm and enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dedicated team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry within the care home.
• Execute cleaning tasks based on worksheet directions and operating procedures for housekeeping.
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and use appropriate cleaning materials.
• Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect, preserving their personal space and belongings.
• Maintain hotel service standards and support the overall hygiene and appearance of the facility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including moving and handling techniques, fire safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrated compassion and commitment to high quality housekeeping and laundry service to residents.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible, covering a range of responsibilities at short notice.
