Housekeeper, Wimbledon

Location: Wimbledon VillageHours: 40 hours per week per rota, within 7am-8pm. Two Saturdays per month, with the following Monday off.Salary: £60,000 per annum, paid monthlyStart date: ASAP A family in Wimbledon Village is looking for a highly competent, experienced and professional Housekeeper to join them as soon as possible. Alongside housekeeping, the role includes support with looking after the children and the family dogs, as well as providing cover for other housekeeping staff as required within 10 miles. The family also has a home in Wales, and flexibility to work there by mutual agreement would be desirable.
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Ensuring the smooth running of the family home
- maintaining a high standard of organisation and cleanliness
- Daily cleaning duties around the home to a high standard
- Organising and tidying
- Laundry: ironing, repairing clothes, cleaning shoes, caring for delicate items, and taking clothes to the dry cleaner/alterer as required
- Wardrobe management
- Washing and changing bedding
- Managing household supplies, toiletries and pet supplies, and replenishing as needed
- Running errands for the employer
- Answering the door and taking deliveries
- Preparing meals when required (family style and simple meals)
- Managing the weekly food shop
- Liaising with and overseeing contractors when working in the home
- Helping to look after and manage a large dog
- Building a relationship with the children, including being open to collection or pick-up from a playdate, activity or school if required
- Providing support with looking after the children
- Driving confidently in London, with experience doing so (own car not required)
- Overtime by prior arrangement for childcare and dog sitting, including overnight house sitting for the dogs when the family are on holiday
- Holds a current basic DBS certificate, or is willing to obtain one
- Car driver - essential, for running errands
- Able to work with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Hardworking, reliable and honest
- Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
- Unflappable, and able to talk openly and honestly
- Considerable experience running a large house
- A team player, able to work with other staff
- Pet friendly and child friendly
- Fluent English speaker with strong communication skills
- Flexible, easy to have around, understanding and professional
