We are recruiting for a Housekeeper who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for a Housekeeper to join an experienced renal team with extensive experience in developing workforce to manage renal units.
This position is an exciting opportunity to work within the Lister Haemodialysis Unit at Lister Hospital.
Main duties of the jobYou will work as an integral part of the team.
You will be responsible for the coordination of all patient facilities/services in the unit area and for ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are contributing to a positive patient experience, ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs, as determined by the ward manager.
You will be required to work closely with contractors and support services departments.
You will assist in the monitoring of quality standards and be key in ensuring deficiencies are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Person Specification Qualifications / Training- Good basic education.
- Evidence of customer care training.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Previous experience in a health care setting.
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with individuals of varying levels of understanding.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Demonstrates a flexible approach to work.
- Understanding of quality and change in the clinical setting. Basic IT skills or willingness to develop.
- Understanding of the requirements of the role.
- Basic understanding of NHS issues.
- Self-motivated.
