Job Summary

York Hospital - Housekeeper (Permanent, Part time)

• Salary: Up to £25,038.00 pro rata depending on experience
• Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 15:30 - 19:30, Friday 16:00 - 20:00)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning rooms, removing waste, collecting linen, and deep cleaning areas.
• Plan and organise work to support patients' experience, working with Heads of Housekeeping when necessary.
• Work cooperatively with the Infection Prevention team and report incidents to relevant staff.
• Assist in maintaining cleaning standards, following procedures, and ensuring cleanliness for patient safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar housekeeping or cleaning role preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills; friendly and team oriented.
• Flexible and motivated.
