Household & Facilities Assistant (Hospitality)

Household Assistant - Permanent & Full Time

The Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH) is seeking a Household Assistant in a permanent full time capacity to join the Household team.

Responsibilities

• Set up common room - brew coffees, turn on dishwasher, fill milk, set up functions if required, turn on lights, organize tables and chairs.
• Organize laundry room - delivery and dispense scrubs when needed.
• Set up any functions as required.
• Check waste bins frequently - empty as required, change bags and bring waste to collection point - frequently and not less than every two hours.
• Check/clean hand sanitizing units and replenish as necessary.
• Household management of all kitchens - frequent checks; clean furniture, clean fridges, clean microwaves, empty dishwashers, replenish stocks of foods and cleaning materials.
• Attend to any spillages throughout the day.
• Assist with hospitality events during the working day as they arise.
• Weekly deep clean of dishwashers.
• Serve board meetings and functions.
• General attendance in staff canteen.
• Restock and clean.

Required Qualifications

• Achieved a good standard of education or equivalent Leaving Certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• At least 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of hygiene, health and safety, HACCP and COSHH regulations.
• Available to work Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-4:00 pm & Friday 7:00 am-3:00 pm.

• Ability to work on own initiative, prioritize and manage multiple issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Ability to undertake the physical demands of the role.
• Motivated and able to identify potential difficulties and formulate solutions.
• Clear understanding and commitment to the ethos and philosophy of Dublin Dental University Hospital.
• Good character.
