House Manager - Residential Childcare

Common Thread have an exciting opportunity for an experienced House Manager to join us at our service in the Perth area. We are committed to providing safe, nurturing and supportive homes where children and young people can grow and recover from their experiences.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our new residential home. This is an opportunity to create the passionate, collaborative culture and set the high standards that we require to achieve the best possible outcomes for our young people. The House Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for creating a stable, safe and caring environment for the young people in our care, while supporting and developing a team of Therapeutic Support workers.

Common Thread have 14 Residential Child Care homes across Scotland. The successful candidate will be joining an existing management team and an organisation who believe in supporting their staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role within residential care or a relevant field
• Relevant professional qualifications in Social Work/Social Care. SVQ 4 Social Services (Children and Young People) and SVQ Leadership and Management for Care Services Level 4 are desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• A trauma-informed approach and understanding of complex behavioural needs
• Ability to manage a team with empathy and professionalism
• Ability to work flexibly participating in on call where required which will involve some weekend working.
• Full UK driving license

£37,211.20 to £39,208 per year (this includes sleep over allowance)
