Job Title Hourly Paid Lecturer in Barbering - 2 Positions Available! Closing Date 11/09/:59 Pay Hourly rate up to £36.05 - starting salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Hours 5 Hours x 24 Weeks (Tuesdays) Type Part Time

Please note we have 2 positions available - one based at our Redditch campus and one based at our Worcester campus. Please state your preferred location in your application.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

To become am Hourly Paid Lecturer in our Hair and Beauty department, we need someone who is enthusiastic, committed and has a passion for teaching.

The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

We have a variety of students from the surrounding area; we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college.

Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools.

Although these positions are based at our Redditch and Worcester campuses, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

To find a more detailed list of your day-to-day responsibilities, please refer to the key roles and accountabilities section on our Job Description. You will support in many aspects, to name a few:

  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with curriculum requirements, including lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning resources.
  • Deliver effective and engaging learning sessions, using appropriate teaching methods, technology, and classroom management strategies.
  • Monitor and assess learner progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Mark and assess student work promptly, providing constructive feedback and setting targets to support development.
  • Carry out administrative duties, including maintaining registers, monitoring attendance, and ensuring learner records are accurate.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, course reviews, team meetings, and lesson observations.
  • Undertake continuous professional development to maintain subject knowledge and teaching expertise.
  • Provide appropriate support and guidance to students, referring them to specialist services where necessary.
  • Comply with College policies and procedures and undertake other reasonable duties as required.
