Hotel Services Assistant - Domestic

We are looking for reliable individuals to join our Facilities Team at Carseview Centre, Dundee as a Hotel Services Assistant (Domestic).
This is a key role in supporting patient care by ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment in line with NHS Scotland Cleaning Standards and Infection Prevention and Control requirements.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high standards of cleanliness across a busy mental health facility. Duties will include:
- Carrying out routine and specialist cleaning tasks in clinical and non-clinical areas
- Ensuring patient rooms and ward areas are cleaned and prepared to a high standard
- Supporting infection prevention and control measures
- Handling waste safely and appropriately
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and stock levels
- Completing cleaning schedules and records
- Assisting with basic patient services such as meal/beverage support where required
You may also be required to work flexibly and support other areas within Hotel Services.
We are seeking individuals who:
- Have experience in cleaning, domestic or similar environments (healthcare experience desirable)
- Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative
- Are able to follow instructions, schedules and procedures accurately
- Have good communication skills and can interact sensitively with patients, visitors and colleagues
- Are flexible, adaptable and able to work in a busy, ever-changing environment
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Full training will be provided, including infection prevention and control, manual handling and health & safety.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
