Homelessness Project Worker (Various Sites)

Service Area: Adults & Health - Housing Related Support Team / Mulberry Junction
Reports to: Service Manager
Hours: 36 per week, rota-based including weekends
Grade: SC5

Role Purpose

To provide practical, person-centred support to adults living in specialist accommodation services. You will help residents affected by homelessness to achieve positive outcomes in housing, health, employment, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents through client assessments, key working, and personalised support plans.
• Assist with housing applications, benefits, and move-on planning.
• Provide emotional support, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure access to health, welfare, and specialist services.
• Promote wellbeing and independence, including housekeeping and tenancy responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection policies.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with homeless or vulnerable adults in supported accommodation.
• Knowledge of housing, welfare benefits, and move-on pathways.
• Strong communication, case management, and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to work flexibly on shifts including evenings, weekends, and across multiple sites.
• Commitment to person-centred, non-judgemental support.

Other Information

• This role requires a DBS check.
• You will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting residents to move towards independence.
