Social Work Choice UK Agency are recruiting for a local authority looking to employ a homelessness project worker. As a project worker, you will be responsible for providing practical support to individuals accommodated in various specialist accommodation services delivered by Haringey

Main Responsibilities
  • To manage telephone email and face-to-face communication with people living in the accommodation services
  • Provide non-judgemental and empathetic communication
  • Provide high-quality support information and signposting to clients that focus on their strengths and goals
  • To carry out comprehensive client assessment, identifying priorities and ongoing needs
  • To assist people in making successful claims for housing benefits and other benefits as appropriate
  • Organise and undertake formal and informal key working activates
  • Liaising with other pathway services and accommodation providers to ensure people have a safe place to live
  • To promote health and wellbeing services and activities including Mental Health, GP and others
  • To keep abreast of current housing legislation, welfare benefits legislation and other matters
  • To identify and work with a range of agencies to ensure all clients have access to relevant services
  • To support and encourage clients to undertake housekeeping and cleaning duties as necessary
  • Ensure accurate recording and management of information about a service user,
  • To identify and appropriately apply relevant safeguarding, domestic violence and health and safety policies
Qualification & Experience
  • GCSE Grades A-C in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
