Job Title: Home Claims Technical Expert
Target Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available
Salary Range: £40,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Hybrid with some Eastleigh travel

We are looking for senior and experienced Claims Technical Professionals who understand the challenges of complex property claims. In this role, you will ensure that every customer receives guidance, expertise, and reassurance to navigate the claims process smoothly. You will collaborate with specialists, uphold high standards, and work with integrity to deliver fair resolutions.
If you have experience in managing complex property claims and a passion for customer advocacy, we'd love to hear from you. You may come from an adjusting, surveying, or construction background in the insurance industry.
Main Responsibilities- Advanced technical claims handling in accordance with policy cover, legal liability, departmental fraud, ABI and FCA Guidelines.
- Provide customers and colleagues with a consistent high-quality service aligned with strategy and Ageas Best Practice.
- Interpret and challenge scopes of works and tenders.
- Awareness of Construction Damage Management and building regulations plus Party Wall Act understanding.
- Identify and address supplier performance issues case-by-case and drive behavioural improvement with Supplier Relationship Managers.
- Member of or working towards CII, CIOB, RICS professional qualifications, or a desire to do so unless you possess exceptional property claims experience
- Experience of handling complex claims in the insurance market
- Strong building pathology knowledge including SoRs, tender exercises, and JCT contract experience
- Make good judgements throughout the claims journey and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the capability to write complex letters, reports and recommendations in line with company standards
