Tradiwind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Harlow to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for their KS1 and KS2 teams.

The school is Ofsted rated "Good" and has a strong reputation for inclusive education. It is a Special Educational Needs School mainly serving SEMH and ASD needs, with a child centred approach to learning.

About the Role

The HLTA will support the classroom by leading a class for half a day when short staffed, delivering targeted interventions alongside class teachers, creating engaging learning resources to support academic progress, and working closely with the SENCo to assist pupils with SEN and EAL needs. Set learning targets and provide assessment feedback.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as an HLTA or LSA is desirable
• Strong initiative and the ability to take on responsibility
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (ideal but not essential)
