Summary Baines School are seeking to appoint a full-time HLTA who is committed to completing the Level 7 Certificate in Testing for Exam Access Arrangements. The successful applicant will contribute to a range of teaching, learning and pastoral activities across the school, undertaking a diverse range of duties including in-class support, work within our Alternative Provision (AP) unit, lesson supervision, and the planning and delivery of targeted interventions to meet individual student needs. Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safety in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis. The closing date is 9am on 04/09/2026

Essential Qualifications

Must have GCSE's in English and Mathematics at grade C/5 or above and must hold one of the following Level 5 qualifications:

• PGCE
• QTS
• QTLS
• DTLLS
• HLTA
• HCPC registration as a Psychologist

Desirable Qualifications

• Safeguarding
• First Aid
• Additional SEN qualifications

Essential Experience

• Experience of working with children
• Experience of working in a classroom environment at HLTA or teacher level
• Experience of administrative work

Desirable Experience

• Experience of working with children with SEN
• Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
• Experience of working with children with EHCPs
