History Teacher (Madrid, Spain)

Job Description: An established International School in Spain is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic History Teacher to join its team for the 2025 academic year. The school follows the British curriculum and is committed to academic excellence, cultural enrichment, and fostering a supportive international learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, experience with the British curriculum, and the ability to engage students in meaningful historical inquiry.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the British curriculum

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs

Assess and report on student progress

Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school initiatives and events

Maintain effective communication with parents and the wider school community

Requirements:

A BA degree in History or Humanities

A PGCE or Master's in Secondary Education

C2-level English fluency or native-level English speaker

International teaching certification (if obtained outside of Spain) must be accredited by the Spanish Educational Authorities

Benefits:
