What you will be doing

• Setting out for highways, structures and associated civil engineering works
• Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and design data
• Carrying out surveys, checks and as built records
• Maintaining site control and ensuring tolerances are achieved
• Working closely with site management and subcontractors
• Supporting quality assurance processes and health & safety standards
• Resolving technical and setting out issues as they arise on site

What you will need to succeed

• Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering or highways projects
• Strong knowledge of setting out techniques and surveying equipment (GPS, total station)
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
• A proactive and solutions focused approach on site
• A relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience
• Full right to work in the UK

• Salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience
