Are you an experienced Highways Operative?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Highways Operative / Senior Operative to join Highways East Midlands Ltd, a growing highways maintenance business. This is a site-based role requiring a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider site team. You will support the delivery of high-quality highways and surfacing works across Midlands and nationwide commercial projects, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

- Experience in highways or line marking
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
- NVQ Level 2 in Road Markings (Pavement Marking)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- IPAF, PASMA or Lantra qualifications
- Carrying out road and car park line marking works
- Applying thermoplastic and MMA products in line with project requirements
- Supporting car park refurbishment works
- Undertaking surface preparation and removal works
- Supporting surfacing and minor civils activities
- Working as part of a site team to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Supporting traffic management activities where required
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and site efficiency
- Working on nationwide commercial projects and travelling as required
- Using modern equipment and following company procedures
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other site personnel
- Being willing to work overtime and night work when required
- Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.
- Work reliably and professionally across a range of highways and commercial projects
- Maintain good communication and organisation throughout each project
- Take pride in the quality of your work and contribute positively to the wider site team
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and good communication and organisation skills
- Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice.
- Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation.
- Co-operate fully with the company and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are always met.
