HGV/PLANT MECHANIC

We are looking for an experienced HGV/PLANT Mechanic to join our team.

Day to Day duties include but not limited to:

Maintenance of our fleet of Skip Trucks, roll on roll off, Grab vehicles, Tippers, Artic units, Walking floors, Refuse vehicles and company vans.
Maintenance of waste Shredders, Screeners, Conveyors, Loading shovels, Grabs, and various other pieces of plant.
Welding and fabrication.
MOT Preparation and presentation.
Attending breakdowns as necessary.
Using diagnostic equipment to correctly identify and repair faults.
Replacing wheels and re-torques.
Vehicle Inspections in line with our 'O' license requirements.
Running repairs.
Completion of all relevant paperwork & job cards.
Supporting colleagues and working as part of a team.
Working in other areas of the business as and when required.

Experience Required:

Vehicle HGV Mechanic: 5 years.
Diagnostic experience.

Licence/Certification:

HGV Class I or II licence essential

Permanent Position: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday morning 6am-11am on a rota

4 Weeks (28 days) holiday per year this includes the 8 standard statutory public/bank holidays.

Pay: Starting from £16.00 per hour, with the final rate dependent on experience (DOE).
