HGV Workshop Supervisor

Location: Coventry Salary: £54,145 Contract Type: Permanent Shifts: Nights (4 on 4 off OR 4 nights a week)

What You'll Be Doing as HGV Shift Supervisor:

• Overseeing the workshop team during your shift, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
• Supporting and mentoring technicians, providing guidance when needed
• Allocating jobs and monitoring progress to keep workflow on track
• Carrying out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and MOT prep on trailers and HGVs when required
• Ensuring all compliance, health & safety, and VOSA standards are adhered to
• Liaising with management to provide shift updates and highlight any issues

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician with the ability to step up into a supervisory role, or previous experience as a Shift Supervisor/Workshop Foreman
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV maintenance preferred, or time-served background
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate a team
• Solid knowledge of compliance, safety standards, and VOSA requirements
