HGV Technician Night Shift

40 hour per week nights.

Monday - Thursday (8pm-6.30am)

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
Perform equipment repair, including the use of hand tools and power tools.
Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Assemble and disassemble various vehicle components for repairs and inspections.
Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on HGVs as required.
Weld components when necessary to ensure structural integrity.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications.
Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and understand their needs.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail to ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

C&G, NVQ 3 or equivalent
HGV Technician : 3 years
Time-served Technicians also considered

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24.00-£25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
