Job Description

We are delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated HGV Technician to join our thriving business. This role, which is based in our site at Grantham, will offer the successful candidate a chance to work with a group of professionals dedicated to provided exceptional quality and service to its customers. Our aim is to get it right first time.

As the successful HGV Workshop Technician, you will report to the General Manager and be a key member of our team. Working in a fast-paced time critical environment, your key accountabilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining our modern fleet
MOT Preparation
6, 8 and 10 weekly inspection checks of HGV vehicles and trailers
Mechanical and Electrical repairs on vehicles
Accurate and timely completion of inspection reports
Ordering spares as necessary
Any other tasks associated with the repair and maintenance of the vehicle fleet

Qualifications

As the successful candidate, you will have had experience working within a similar Heavy Goods role.
Hold an in-date C+E driving licence.
You will have knowledge of working on Scania, DAF and Mercedes tractor units (desirable).
It would be advantageous if you were tail lift qualified or have experience working with tail lifts, however, this is not essential as training can be provided.
Training programs can be offered in order to increase your skill levels.

Salary

Starting at £39,624.00 + per annum
