Due to continued growth and expansion, Star Commercials are looking to recruit skilled HGV Technicians in Thorne Doncaster.

Shift Patterns

We offer several shift options:

Days (Rolling Shift)
4 days on / 4 days off

Alternating Early & Late Shift
Monday - Friday Early: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Late: 1:00pm - 10:00pm

Permanent Late Shift
Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 10:00pm

The Role

As part of our skilled and supportive workshop team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service and maintenance to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Fault diagnosis, servicing and repair of HGV vehicles Completing repair orders, service reports and job card documentation
Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and electronic faults Working efficiently under pressure to meet workshop targets
Maintaining excellent communication within the team and with management Delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

Proven experience as a HGV or Van Technician Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in HGV/vehicle mechanics
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills
A full UK driving licence

Enhanced rates are available for qualified Mercedes-Benz Truck Systems or Diagnostic Technicians.
