HGV Technician

Location: Preston

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift: Day shifts (with overtime available)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join our growing team in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and forward-thinking business offering excellent earning potential and extensive ongoing training.

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Conduct vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards
• Prepare vehicles for MOT
• Complete all job cards and service documentation accurately
• Work safely and efficiently in line with company and health and safety standards

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or time served
• Previous experience working on HGVs
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence (Class 1 desirable but not essential)

• Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
