Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at our Blandford, Dorset depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
We offer good rate of pay and training available in all area's.
Day shift only and every other Saturday morning.
Alternating call out rota available.

Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify faults and issues.
Perform repairs and replacements on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time taken for each job.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop.
Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technologies related to HGV maintenance.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance or engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of HGV systems and components.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A valid driving licence is essential; an HGV licence would be advantageous but not mandatory.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
