Job Description:

Walker Movements Ltd is seeking a dedicated HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate within a bustling workshop environment, responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring vehicles and trailers are in optimal condition.

HGV Technician / Mechanic

The position is a full-time permanent role

- Perform maintenance and repairs across all levels, including diagnostics.

- Hold CAT C & E Licence (preferable).

- Ensure vehicles and trailers are maintained and repaired in compliance with current legislation.

- Conduct routine maintenance adhering to VOSA/DVSA standards.

- Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspections.

- Utilise computer-based diagnostic equipment for vehicle diagnosis.

- Possess experience in working with modern heavy commercial vehicles and trailers, with knowledge in electrics and hydraulics being advantageous.

- Uphold high standards of housekeeping to meet health & safety regulations.

- Complete all paperwork accurately and efficiently.

- Utilise personal protective equipment as necessary.

Varied shift pattern:

- Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 08.00 am - 1.00 pm.

- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday 08:00 am - 1:00 pm.

- Competitive salary: £20.00 per hour, with overtime at £30.00 per hour.
