HGV Mechanic

Location: Motherwell

Salary: Up to £50,000 Basic (DOE)

Shift: Day Shift (with flexibility as required)

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Mechanic to join our team in Motherwell. This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified technician looking to join a professional operation offering strong earning potential and ongoing training support.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of HGVs
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
• Conduct routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
• Work in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - essential
• Proven experience working on HGVs in a workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence (Class 1 licence desirable but not essential)

• Basic salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
• Ongoing training and development
• Full support and training towards IRTEC accreditation
• Training provided for Class 1 (C+E), Tachograph, and LOLER qualifications
