HGV Mechanic

Position: HGV MechanicLocation: WiganSalary: £20-22 per hour + overtime rates

Bennett and Game are currently partnering with an expanding Aggregates & Waste Management company who are actively seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join their successful team.

HGV Mechanic Position Overview:

• Performing major and minor repairs to Class 1 & 2 Vehicles, arctic trailers, including; walking floors, artic tippers and low loader trailers.
• Maintaining fleet documentation regarding inspections and repairs with our transport department.
• Performing scheduled inspections and general preventative maintenance such as tyre rotations, puncture repairs and servicing.
• Organisation of 6 weekly inspections and in house brake tests.
• Breakdown Repairs and vehicle insurance assessments.
• MOT Preparation & taking to test centre.

HGV Mechanic Position Requirements:

• City and Guilds/ NVQ / IRTEC or Equivalent Qualifications
• Full UK Valid Driving Licence (Class 1 & 2) - Desirable
• Understanding of FORS - Desirable
• Flexibility to work overtime and different hours when needed

HGV Mechanic Position Salary:

• £20-22 per hour + overtime rates
• Monday - Friday 7-5 working hours
• Company Pension scheme
• 28 days holiday
• Use of company van & mobile on breakdowns
