HGV Mechanic

Our company is looking for a HGV Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out 6 weekly inspections;
Carrying out Service, Maintenance and Repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles;
Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of products and attend training courses;
Carrying out inspections;
Completion of MOT preparation;
MOT Preparation / Presentation;
Completion of all required paperwork;
Be able to liaise with both your colleagues and suppliers;
Complete job cards and service sheets
Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to;
Fault diagnosis and rectification using the manufacturers computer system and tooling;
Diagnosing and rectifying all types of HGV faults.

Requirements:

Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles;
Diagnostic equipment knowledge/experience;
Flexible approach to working hours;
HGV Licence advantageous but not essential;
At least 3 years' experience;
Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, fitting and repair;
A full clean UK driving licence;
Own tools (preferable);
Keen eye for detail;
Able to work under pressure.

Shifts will be Days/Noon 8am-5pm & 12pm-9pm, every other Saturday will be required. Some flexibility with hours can be discussed.

40hrs per week paid at £18.00 pr hour. Over 40hrs paid at £27 per hour.
