HGV Mechanic

Due to an increase in workload, we are pleased to currently have an opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our friendly family-owned business and work in our large workshop at Drumclog, Strathaven. This role will require you to work on our own fleet of HGV vehicles including Class 1 Lorries, Class 2 Lorries and Tippers, Excavators and other items of plant when required.

Duties Include:

Carry out vehicle safety inspections.

Vehicle servicing and MOT prep

Fault finding and diagnostics.

Maintain fleet to high standards in line with DVSA and FTA requirements

Skills required:

A good level of technical knowledge, ability, and experience in the mechanical repair of HGV vehicles

Work well on their own and to strict deadlines

PC skills are preferable

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00 Saturday 08:00 - 16:00 (sometimes earlier depending on workload)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
