Job Description
Role Overview: The driver supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the packaged gases (range including cellar gases LPG ) distribution driver team are complying with company safety requirements, must be prepared to be fully engaged and promote the company safety philosophy, BSP (basic safety process).

Reporting to the Operations Manager and at times the Transport Manager for the UK, the driver supervisor will ensure day to day management of the driver team and any HR related subjects are actioned.

The driver supervisor will also be required to work with the transport and compliance manager to ensure all Tacho requirements are met in line with transport regulations.

Role Responsibilities & Duties:

Compliance with relevant EH&S legislation, and implementation of applicable standards and procedures in order to achieve EH&S goals and minimise incidents through

-Acting as the commination link between drivers/Operations manager and Transport Manager.

-Ongoing monitoring and auditing of site conditions, behavior and systems.

-Promoting and enforcing operational disciplines across the site.

-Implementation and maintenance of BSP (Basic safety Process)with operational teams.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicle records.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle defects.
- Communicate effectively with team members/supervisors to report any issues.

-Lead driver safety meetings.

-Leading investigations into safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

-Deliver driver training in line with the company training matrix requirements to ensure driver training is on time.

Requirements:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 19 years old (for certain types of driving positions).
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions (for certain types of driving positions).
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

-Setting goals for performance and setting deadlines in ways that comply with company plans and vision ensuring the team members understand their duties or delegated tasks.

-monitoring employee productivity through internal systems, providing constructive feedback where appropriate, coaching and ability to challenge where necessary.
