HGV Driver - Road Sweeper

Ashcourt Group is expanding, and we're looking for experienced Sweeper Drivers to join our growing fleet based in Leeds. If you're looking for a role that keeps you moving and a company that genuinely looks after its drivers, this could be the perfect route forward.

As a Sweeper Driver at Ashcourt, you'll play a key role in supporting our operations by operating HGV Category C sweepers safely, professionally, and efficiently.

We are happy to consider candidates who wish to be self employed or paid through payroll. If paid through payroll (PAYE), overtime will be paid at £21.37 per hour for any hours worked beyond 45 per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Cat C sweeping vehicles in line with all HGV and traffic legislation
• Operate the vehicle safely, professionally, and responsibly at all times
• Assist with route planning and scheduling in collaboration with your line manager
• Monitor traffic reports and adapt routes where necessary
• Carry out thorough pre use vehicle defect and cleanliness checks
• Ensure the vehicle cab is kept clean, tidy, and presentable

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid HGV Category C licence
• A valid Tachograph card
• A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Sweeper Driver
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• The right to work in the UK
