HGV Class 2 Driver

Overview

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Worthing area. We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Drivers to join the team.

Hours

Hours: Monday to Friday with early starts. Shift start time is 04:00, with an anticipated finish between 12:00 and 13:00.

Pay Rate

• Monday to Friday: £17.35 per hour PAYE
• Saturdays: £20.50 per hour PAYE
• Sundays: £20.50 per hour PAYE

Job Type: Temporary to permanent.

The Role

• Trunking two vehicles per day from Worthing depot to Beddington (Croydon) - note this work will entail working with clinical waste.
• Starting at 04:00, taking the first vehicle to tip.
• Completing the second vehicle run between 09:00 and 10:00.
• Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in line with company procedures.
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks before and after each run.
• Adhering to all road transport, WTD, and health & safety regulations.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Category C).
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Good understanding of WTD legislation.
• Strong work ethic and a safety-first attitude.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work early morning shifts.
• Good communication skills and professional conduct.
