HGV Class 2 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role involves operating a flatbed lorry, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Operate a flatbed lorry for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a Commercial Driver or Delivery Driver is essential.
Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable.
A valid driving licence with the appropriate class for commercial driving is required.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining delivery records and schedules.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
