Job Description
Class 2 DELIVERY DRIVER

Applicants must have held a Full _ UK _ Driving License for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 3 points and for insurance reasons must be over 23 with no more than 3 points on their license. Full CPC and digital tacho is also required.

Monday - Friday 07.00 - 16.30, occasional Saturdays 09.00 - 17.30

(5 days per week)

Reporting to Warehouse Manager

The main duties of this role are to deliver goods to our customers by way of driving a Class 2 vehicle. Adhering to TACO legislation and using route mapping. Excellent customer service skills are an essential part of the role. The physically demanding nature of this role requires physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy doors. Flexibility to occasionally work in our warehouse if needed.

The Role

Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds all customers' expectations
Comprehensive product knowledge
Ensure all routes are planned effectively
Ensure TACO legislation is followed when driving the Class 2 vehicle
Deliver or collect goods as and when required, manually handling heavy doors when required
Check that the load matches the paperwork _and that accessories such as glass are not left behind_
Ensure that all paperwork is properly signed, printed and dated by each customer
Assist in the loading of your vehicle, either manually or using the forklift truck
Ensure that your load is secure at all times, and protected from the weather when necessary. You are liable if the load is damaged due to negligence, ie if the load falls off of the vehicle due to reckless driving or loose straps, or is damaged by rain
Ensure that the TACO form is completed daily and filed appropriately
Be courteous to other people on the road because you are a representative of Todd Doors Ltd
Complete the Driver Vehicle Defect Report on a daily basis
Report any faults with the vehicle immediately to your Line Manager
you are responsible for the security of your vehicle, load and other Company property (e.g. mobile phone)
Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy inside and out
Ensure that all customers are dealt with efficiently, courteously and as promptly as possible
Deal with customer complaints/inquiries and follow them through to a satisfactory conclusion
Keep paperwork precise and clear so that tasks may be followed by colleagues
Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable and are completed
Ensure that all Company systems and procedures are followed at all times
Prepare and assist with biannual stock checks adhering to Company procedure
Supplied company uniform to be worn at all times and kept neat, clean and presentable
Wherever possible, identify improvements to processes to enhance customer service, reduce costs, improve margin etc.
Report any Health and Safety issues to your line manager
Take on any reasonable ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of The Company
