HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver

About the Role:

The Flexi Group is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for immediate, ongoing work based in the Sandbach area. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking to secure consistent work with a respected logistics provider.

As a tramper, you will be working Monday to Friday, with the option to take on weekend shifts if desired. You will be overnighting in your cab during the week (tramping), and the vehicle will be equipped with necessary facilities to make your stay comfortable.

The role involves general haulage using curtain-sided trailers, with strapping required for securing loads. You must be confident with load safety and compliant with driver hours regulations and tachograph laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle for curtain-sided deliveries across the UK
Tramping Monday to Friday, with the option of weekend work
Ensuring goods are properly strapped and secured
Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with clients and the public
Accurately completing delivery paperwork and logs

Requirements:

Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience
No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN codes)
Good communication skills and a flexible attitude

Rates:

Standard: £210

Saturday: £220

Sunday £240
