Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, Your main tasks will be TRAMPING general haulage collections and deliveries across the UK, with nights out (average 4 -5 nights out per week).

Responsibilities

Safely operate a tractor-trailer or other heavy goods vehicles, including flatbeds, tankers, and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with legal standards
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency while maintaining accurate delivery schedules
Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit
Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Assist with yard duties as needed to support warehouse operations
Qualifications
Valid UK driving license with appropriate endorsements for truck operation.
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
Excellent driving record.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
