Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Experience with flatbed and commercial driving is highly desirable, and candidates must possess a valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles. Responsibilities
Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations.
Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements.
Secure loads properly on flatbeds to prevent movement or damage during transit.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered en route.
Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, regulations, and company policies at all times.
Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
Qualifications
Valid driving licence suitable for operating large commercial vehicles, including flatbeds.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role, preferably with flatbed operation experience.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving large vehicles.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with dispatch teams and clients.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under tight schedules.
