HGV Class 1 Driver - Trunking and Multi-Drop - Warrington, Cheshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Class 1 Driver offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday • AM starts between 04:00 - 06:00 • PM starts between 18:00 - 20:00

Rates of Pay:

• £17.39 per hour (Days) • £18.39 per hour (Nights)

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Trunking depot-to-depot with occasional store deliveries • Operating and driving Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills:

• Valid UK Category C+E driving licence • Minimum of 6 months' experience driving C+E vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes • Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card • Good level of spoken and written English • Punctual with excellent time-keeping skills • Good understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting • One day paid induction following a successful assessment
