HGV Class 1 Driver - Wellington Taunton

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage.
Communicate effectively with planners and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate class for commercial driving.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Ability to handle physical tasks.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
