HGV Class 1 Driver - Heywood Depot

Shift and Pay

Shift Available: Monday - Friday nights (start times around 15 00). Rate of pay: £15.61 per hour for hours up to 39 per week, plus £55.00 per week shift allowance. Paid weekly. Hours above 39 will be paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.


• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.


• Carry out trunking and multi drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law, including driver working time regulations.


• Double check deliveries with the customer, providing a polite and helpful experience.


• Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to the home depot.

Qualifications and Requirements

• C+E driving licence.


• Valid, in date DigiTacho and CPC.


• Previous Class1 driving experience.


• Able to lift up to 18kg.


• Can communicate clearly in English.
