We have an exciting opportunity for a Hep C Specialist Worker to join our team in Manchester. This is a specialist role for someone with the skills, knowledge and passion to lead on Hepatitis C interventions, supporting service users through testing, treatment, and recovery, while also helping to develop workforce confidence and service-wide approaches to BBV prevention and care.

Where: Manchester

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (based on full-time hours, pro rata for part-time)

Contract: Full time, permanent

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on Hepatitis C interventions across the service, using a whole-system, harm reduction approach.
  • Identify and support service users at risk of BBVs, offering screening, harm reduction advice, and pathways into treatment.
  • Support workforce development by building knowledge and confidence in BBV testing and treatment among staff and volunteers.
  • Collect and analyse data to support surveillance and service improvement.
  • Contribute to innovative models of Hep C care that reflect local needs and diversity.
  • Promote awareness through events and campaigns, such as World Hepatitis Day.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated, person-centred care.
About you
  • You'll have a strong understanding of substance misuse and BBV-related harm.
  • Experience working in a similar field, with a focus on harm reduction and public health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage service users and professionals alike.
  • Able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
