Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

This position is responsible for day-to-day Heavy Equipment Operation activities at a steelmetal recovery plant. The role involves running equipment such as loaders, excavators, skidsteers, heavy-duty trucks, and cranes.

• Performs routine mobile equipment pre start and post inspection and records activity on inspection sheets.
• Follows all plant safety guidelines for the safe operation of heavy mobile equipment.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience as a equipment operator.
• Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to read operating instructions.
• Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment.
