Heating Engineer

Join BordGáisEnergy, the Ireland based energy provider, as a Heating Engineer. This role will support the transition to a net zero future through the installation, servicing and repair of domestic heating systems.

About the Role

As a Heating Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Installation of central heating boilers, including system and control upgrades
• Installation and maintenance of heat pumps for retrofits
• Installation and maintenance of oil boilers
• Service, repair and safety inspection of all domestic heating appliances
• Service and repair of domestic central heating and hot water plumbing systems
• First time diagnosis and repair of heating appliance and system faults
• Upgrade and installation of central heating system controls with smart technologies
• Perform electrical safety tests on domestic heating installations
• Locate, install and verify CO alarms to current gas standards
• Conduct testing with Combustion Gas Analysers, including room safety
• Maintain company and regulatory documentation
• Participate in wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, safety and quality systems

About You

• National craft certificate in plumbing
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Logical fault finding aptitude (advantage)
• Full clean Irish driving licence
• Excellent interpersonal and customer skills
• Safe, positive attitude and strong teamwork approach
• RGII registration (advantage)
