Heating Engineer (domestic gas) - Newcastle + surrounding areas

Established 2007 - Gas Angel is a small family-run team of Gas Safe Registered engineers, proudly serving North East homes for over 18 years.

Job description

You'll be responsible for North East gas repair and maintenance work - including, boiler/fire servicing and landlord gas safety checks (CP12 certificates). With occasional boiler install work as part of a 2-person team.

Our team We're a small team of local gas boiler and heat pump experts.

The business is family-run and was founded by David Mooney in 2007, who still takes a hands on roll in the business today.

You'll be working alongside a small friendly team and although you'll have a few solid years of xperience under your belt, we're here to help you continuously learn (particularly when it comes to air source heat pumps).

Where you'll work

You'll initially work across Newcastle, Gateshead, and surrounding areas (we currently cover all NE, DH, and SR postcodes).

Working hours (full time and part time hours available)

Full time hours are on average 40 per week- Mon - Fri
Part time hours are between 20-30 / week (TBC - set hours to suit you/business needs) - Mon - Sat

In order to meet the needs of our customers, a degree of flexibility is required.

Pay

£31,500 - £38,500 (depending on skills and experience).

Van, fuel card, uniform, company pension.

About you

You're a friendly and experienced Gas Safe qualified engineer with

- At least 3 years of experience since qualifying

- Basic electrical knowledge and experience using a multimeter

- Experience in working on a variety of different manufacturer's appliances

- While service and repair are the primary responsibilities, a willingness to assist with installs is essential.

- Strong first-time fix rate, with a can do attitude

- Full UK driving license

- Punctual and able to work to targets

- Good verbal communication skills

Your qualifications

- CCN1 (core domestic gas safety)

- CENWAT1 (gas boiler, central heating, and hot water)

- CPA1 (gas analysis)

- HTR1 (gas fires)

- CKR1 (gas cookers)

Desirable (but not essential):

- ASHP experience

- Unvented qualification (G3)

- Plumbing qualifications/experience
