The RoleIn this key role, you will:
- Process a designated range of tests and carry out technical procedures on patient samples using a range of scientific measurements.
- Operate and maintain complex equipment.
- Work independently with indirect supervision from HCP registered practitioners.
- Prioritise own workload and that of any other support staff within section.
- Perform daily instrument testing, first line maintenance, repair, technical fault finding and quality control on a daily basis for equipment.
- All Standard Operating Procedures.
- Experience to a minimum level of HND in Biomedical Sciences, a science degree desirable, or a minimum of two years experience as a Healthcare Science Support Worker (Higher grade) with evidence of training and applied knowledge of laboratory procedures and commitment to further educational development to HND level.
- Attendance at courses, training on new instrumentation.
- IT skills.
- A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
