Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment, supporting both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals, nursing homes, homecare, and community care settings.

We are currently hiring Healthcare Assistants for leading nursing homes across Ireland.

This opportunity is open to EU citizens as well as candidates holding Stamp 4 or Stamp 1G permissions.

Please note: sponsorship is not available.

This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

Support the nursing team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care that meets all resident needs.

Build positive relationships with residents by understanding their interests and providing consistent support, attention, and companionship.

Promote and maintain resident mobility through supervision and appropriate assistance, helping to sustain or improve mobility where possible.

Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming in a respectful, dignified manner while supporting their independence.

Communicate regularly with nursing staff regarding any changes in residents' health, condition, or daily activities.

Support residents with eating, drinking, and ensuring overall physical comfort.

Plan, organise, and participate in social and recreational activities to enhance residents' well-being.

Maintain strong communication with residents' families and help build trusting relationships.

Contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.

Support the implementation of Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.

Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Nurse in Charge or management.

Requirements

QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification (or equivalent), either completed or currently in progress.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, with good knowledge of HIQA standards.

Strong communication and active listening skills.

Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality care.

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Maintains a positive and supportive attitude.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
