Healthcare Assistant

We are hiring a Healthcare Assistant to a leading Nursing home in Wexford, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality personal care, including support with mobility, dressing, bathing, and toileting
• Assisting residents with meals, hydration, and participation in daily activities
• Providing companionship and emotional support to promote residents' wellbeing, dignity, and independence
• Monitoring, recording, and reporting residents' observations and any changes in condition to nursing staff
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary care team to maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
• Ensuring all care provided is accurately documented and maintained in line with confidentiality and data protection standards

Requirements

Compassionate, reliable, and positive attitude with a genuine interest in caring for older adults.

Ideally one year or more experience in elder care or a similar care giving role (not essential).

QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, completed or currently in progress.

Fluent spoken and written English.

Garda clearance and suitable character references.
