Healthcare Assistant

North Clacton Medical Group have a vacancy for a full time Health Care Assistant working a 5-day week across two practices, one on the Crusaders Business Park, the other North Road, Great Clacton. This is a full-time role, working hours are 10am to 18:30pm with 1 hour lunch break.

The role will offer you the opportunity to build on your experience, skills and competence, requiring you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Main duties of the job

• Taking patients observations
• Wound care
• INR testing
• ECGs.

We have an on site gym and car park which staff can use.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake, as indicated by the CQC;
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent;

Experience

• We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role (or equivalent) to join our team.
• Training will be offered to give injections, Learning Disability Reviews, Part 1 of Diabetic Reviews, if not already qualified.
• Good IT skills are essential for this role - the clinical system used at the practice is SystmOne, plus additional software such as Abtrace and AccuRx.
